Metro Connect 2025: Four Weeks to Go!

Metro Connect 2025 is now just 4 weeks away – and the day’s really starting to take shape. Here’s a quick look at what to expect on Thursday 26th June:

🕘 A glimpse at the day’s format

  • 08:30 to 09:30: Registration, Tea, Coffee, Bacon Rolls and Pastries
  • 09:30 to 17:00: Metro Connect 2025 (Lunch Provided)
  • 17:00 to 18:00: Check in and Freshen up
  • 18:00 to 19:00: Drinks Reception
  • 19:00 to 20:30: Dinner and Awards
  • 20:30 to 00:00: Good evening 007 – Play in our Casino, Sing some Karaoke, Dance like no-ones watching!
  • 00:00 to 01:00: Carriages

The day will be a mix of:

  • Big-picture thinking from our keynote speakers, Phillip Adcock, Andrew Xeni, and Karen Dyke, CEO of RMS.
  • Real-world stories from your peers, including Hobbycraft, Card Factory, Dunelm, and The Range.
  • Practical breakouts packed with ideas you can take back to your business, with stats, stories and updates from the RMS team.
  • Plenty of time to chat, ask questions and explore new ways to get more from Metro.

🎤 Partner Breakout Sessions: Trust Retail, Talent Unlimited, MRI Software, Fabacus.

  • We’re pleased to be joined by the team from Trust Retail, who’ll share how they’ve tackled some tough transformation challenges on the shopfloor – cutting costs and boosting efficiency by making smarter tech choices.
  • We’re also welcoming Ed Grimes and Ed Godwin from Talent Unlimited. With two Eds at the helm, they’ll take you through how voice-AI is reshaping recruitment for frontline roles – right where many RMS customers are focused.
  • Following on from his keynote, Andrew Xeni will be opening the floor to your questions. It’s a chance to get his honest take on leadership, performance, and what it really takes to build high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • And to round our partner breakout options off, Hannah Ostroumoff from MRI Software will be sharing the latest high street data, trends and footfall forecasts – helping you benchmark your business and better understand customer behaviour.

🧪 Explore the Innovation Dome

The Innovation Dome is your opportunity to get hands-on with some of the latest technologies creating an impact across our sectors – from Self-checkout, AI recruitment to Footfall stats and statistics, all of our partner breakout speakers will be available to speak with you in the Innovation Dome during breaks throughout the day, so if you miss their session, catch up over a glass of ‘something chilled’ in the Innovation Dome (it’s also where the Bar is!)

🎭 Evening inspiration: who will you come as?

We’ve heard whispers of Goldfinger, Jaws, and a few shaken martinis in the making… Whether you come dressed to kill or keep it simple, the Bond-themed evening will have karaoke, casino games, music and more. No pressure – just fun.
